What is the Elden Ring Random Build Generator?

A free browser-based build randomizer for Elden Ring. Roll a starting class, weapon, Ash of War, armor set, talisman, and optional spell for a fresh challenge run or to break out of the same strength-faith combo you always use. Toggle Shadow of the Erdtree content, and reroll individual slots without regenerating the whole build.

This is a fan-made utility and is not affiliated with FromSoftware or Bandai Namco. Elden Ring is a trademark of FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment. Content names are referenced by text only for informational gameplay use.

How to Use

  1. Toggle DLC inclusion and whether you want a spell.
  2. Click Generate Build (or press Space or R).
  3. Use the reroll links under each slot to replace individual picks.

Key Features

What the Generator Can Actually Roll

Every slot draws from a fixed roster baked into this page's source: 10 starting classes, 45 base-game weapons plus 24 from Shadow of the Erdtree, 38 base Ashes of War plus 14 DLC skills, 24 base armor sets plus 15 DLC sets, 29 base talismans plus 8 DLC picks, and 33 base spells joined by 21 DLC sorceries and incantations. Each slot rolls independently with a uniform pick, so Wretch wielding the Dark Moon Greatsword lands as often as any meta combination.

The reroll links swap one card and leave the rest alone. Note that the Ash of War slot has no individual reroll: commit to the rolled skill or press Generate for a fresh loadout. Rerolls read the DLC checkbox at click time, so you can roll a base-game build, tick the box, then reroll just the weapon to fish for a DLC armament.

Example Rolls

With both options on, a single press might return: Prisoner, Rakshasa's Great Katana, Flame of the Redmanes, Rotten Duelist Set, Shard of Alexander, Rotten Breath. With DLC off and the spell box cleared, you could see: Hero, Nightrider Flail, Endure, Omen Set, Green Turtle Talisman, and no spell card at all, a pure strike-damage melee run.

Limits and Edge Cases

Stat requirements are never checked, so an Astrologer can be handed the Blasphemous Blade and told to make it work; treat awkward results as a leveling roadmap. Sorceries and incantations share one list, so the spell card can ask for a sacred seal while the weapon card gave you a glintstone staff. Unique armaments such as Moonveil keep their built-in skill in game, so park a rolled ash on a secondary weapon when that happens.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the DLC checkbox change?

It merges Shadow of the Erdtree entries into the weapon, ash, armor, talisman, and spell pools. Classes stay the same since all ten ship with the base game.

Why is there no reroll link for the Ash of War?

The per-slot rerolls cover class, weapon, armor, talisman, and spell only. Replacing the ash requires regenerating the full build, which keeps challenge runs honest about their skill pick.

Can the same item come up twice in a row?

Yes. Nothing is removed from a pool after being drawn, so back-to-back duplicates are possible on any slot, and the Finger Seal has the same odds as Rivers of Blood.
