    What is R6 Strat Roulette?

R6 Strat Roulette is a free browser-based random strat picker for Rainbow Six Siege. Pick your side (Attack or Defense), set your team size, choose your style (Competitive, Meme, or both), and roll. The tool serves up a round-long constraint the whole squad plays under. Some pools sharpen mechanics, others produce highlight-reel chaos. You choose which.

This is a fan-made utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ubisoft Entertainment. Rainbow Six and Rainbow Six Siege are trademarks of Ubisoft Entertainment. Operator and weapon names are referenced by text only for informational gameplay use.

    How Strat Roulette Works

Strat roulette has been a staple of Siege content since the early days. YouTubers built entire channels around it. The idea is simple: accept a random round-long constraint, then try to win anyway. It forces you out of autopilot picks, breaks ruts, and gives friend groups something to laugh about for the next ten rounds.

Every strat in our pool is tagged with the side it works on, the style (competitive handicap or meme challenge), and the minimum and maximum team size it was designed for. The picker filters the pool by your selections before each roll, so you never get a five-stack strat while solo queued or a defense-only strat when you rolled attack.

    How to Use the Tool

    1. Pick the Side you want strats for: Both, Attack, or Defense.
    2. Pick your Team Size from 1 to 5 players. Most solo queue strats are personal challenges, full five-stack strats are team-wide.
    3. Pick your Style: Competitive (real handicaps that reward smart play) or Meme (for laughs and clips). Pick Both to mix the two.
    4. Click Roll Strat, or press the S or Space key on your keyboard.
    5. The result card shows the strat title, description, and tags for tier, side, and player range.
    6. Expand Add Your Own Strats to push custom entries into the pool. Your custom strats save to your browser and roll alongside the built-in pool.

    Competitive vs. Meme Strats

Competitive strats are real handicaps that reward smart play. Pistol Only forces you to prioritize positioning. Pacifist makes you win on objective. Fort Knox bans roaming and tests your hold. Speed Run forces fast executes. These strats sharpen real skills, and top players often use them in warm-up custom lobbies.

Meme strats are for laughs and clips. Hannibal Lecter restricts you to cameras and knife. Crouch Walk Only turns every round into stealth-mode. Freestyle Friday removes all rules. These are the ones your friends will remember, for better or worse. They are also the best format for a content creator stream or a casual Friday night with friends.

    Attack and Defense Side Filtering

Rainbow Six Siege rounds are asymmetric. Attackers have drones and breach charges. Defenders have reinforcements and observation tools. A strat that works on one side often makes no sense on the other. Full Rush is an attack strat. Fort Knox is a defense strat. Shield Wall works either way.

Pick Attack to see only attack-side strats, Defense to see only defense-side strats, or Both to roll from the full pool including side-agnostic challenges. If your squad plays a full ranked match, many players roll twice: once for the attack side and once for the defense side. The pool respects your selection every roll.

    Custom Strats and Community Pools

Every group has inside jokes. Your squad might have a strat that only makes sense to the five of you. The Add Your Own Strats panel lets you push custom entries into the pool with your own title, description, side, style, and player range. Saved strats live in your browser local storage, persist across reloads, and get rolled alongside the built-in pool.

Use this to codify your friend group's favorites. Baguette Strat (French ops only). Canadian Hockey (Buck, Frost, Thunderbird, plus the Ballistic Shield). Your Discord's running gag that only works on Clubhouse basement. Add them all. Delete them when they get stale. The list is yours.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tool affiliated with Ubisoft?

No. This is an independent fan-made utility. Rainbow Six and Rainbow Six Siege are trademarks of Ubisoft Entertainment. We reference operators and weapons by name for gameplay use only.

Do my custom strats sync across devices?

No. Custom strats live in your browser local storage on the device you added them on. If you want them on another device, add them there too. We do not store your strats on any server.

Can I delete custom strats I added?

Yes. Open the Add Your Own Strats panel to see your list with a Delete button next to each entry.

What if no strats match my filters?

The result card will tell you. Loosen a filter (more players, Both style, or Both side) and try again. The built-in pool covers every reasonable combination, so custom strats are the main cause of empty pools if you tag them too narrowly.

Can I use this during a ranked match?

Yes. The tool runs in any modern browser, loads in well under a second, and accepts keyboard shortcuts so you can roll between rounds without alt-tabbing away from the game.

Will my custom strats survive browser updates?

Local storage survives normal browser usage, including restarts and most updates. Clearing site data, using a different profile, or switching browsers will not carry your list over. Export it manually if you want to move it.

Where can I find good strat ideas?

Search YouTube for community strat videos or browse the Siege subreddit. Classic creators like Varsity Gaming, Serenity, and Marley have long strat lists. Drop the ones you like into the Add Your Own Strats panel.
